 Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Will any of the student donated items appear on eBay?
Answer: No. All student items will be sold on campus at our Classroom Market. There will be no student information shown on the eBay website. We will list the items being sold by each class here on our Gala website, but no student info will be included here either.

Question: Will someone else be allowed to purchase my child’s item at the Classroom Market?
Answer: If a parent wishes to purchase their child’s item, we will not allow anyone else to purchase it. If the parents do not wish to purchase the item, we will make it available to all shoppers. Room parents will survey the parents in the class prior to the Classroom Market and mark items as “sold” if necessary.

Question: I want to bid on multiple items in the eBay silent auction – will all items close at the same time?
Answer: No. We will stagger the closing of each “department” to allow people to focus on different items during the auction. You can always enter a “max bid” ahead of time and it will only take as much as it needs to win the item (up to that max amount).

Question: Do I have to have a Pay Pal account in order to bid in the eBay auction?
Answer: No. We will offer the option of paying by check for all items in the auction. If you want to pay by credit card and do not want to setup a Pay Pal account, we will accept credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) at time of pickup. Select “Check” as your payment method and then just bring your credit card to pick up the item.
